Why do humans judge others by looks?

Human have to compare his self look to others for not get behind other or humiliated.

Most humans judge people of looks if they look scary, they some are actually kind hearted. depends how you were raise.
i think personality is better to judge then looks

because there egotistical self-righteous assholes and people just dont care

It seems to be a basic human principle that humans judge other people by their looks, regardless if they are trying to do it or not.

It takes less than 10 seconds for a person to determine if you're worth approaching based on your looks. First impressions are real.

Not sure, guess its become the norm? Its a really interesting question but one I dont think we will ever have the answer for

Because that's life. You judge what you interpret, and one of the biggest introductions we have to one another is appearance. Obviously we've evolved and have become pretty well civilized and I feel like we judge on appearance a lot less, at least in the racism sense, but the world seems to prove me wrong when I hear about racist events. I just don't happen to witness them I guess.
But yea, it's normal as long as you aren't a dick solely based on someone's looks.
