Why do people hack?

Because hacking is an art. People want to show their art to world :lol:

I used to hack because I was shit (garbage) at CSGO. I was stuck in silver hell and wanted to get out. I tried out the "free cheats" and they worked for a while. But stupid me knew barely anything about Overwatch and the VAC system and ended up getting multiple accounts banned. Luckily for me though those accounts were not linked to my main.

They want to feel powerfull, to have some skills e.c.t

The fuck does bots have to do with anything? You said you cheat because "working hard is for fucks who think that hard work will get you somewhere". If you think you can get anywhere by not working hard in CS, you're way off.
