Why does Microsoft think it's a good Idea to add reporting to the game

In the recent 1.9.1 update Microsoft added reporting to Minecraft completely destroying the trust of it's community. Why did Microsoft do this man.

It's really bad, like even private java hosted servers. Disgusting a company is doing this. There is plugins avaliable to disable the reporting which is good but should not even be needed.
