Why is BTC still being used?

I truly don't understand why people stuff use Bitcoin when they are far better alternatives out there. I assume it is because it was first, but the lack of anonymity really concerns me going forward. Thoughts?

I just think it has to do with the name and legacy. It is the OG so people think about that as the first thing and is mostly adopted compared to other cryptos

Many people are using BTC, it won't just stop right out of the bat. It's a market that still has value!

i use it only because i mine it myself , and run a few minig pools people use it because its been in the news a lot i think

Because bitcoin was first and as such has become the mainstream term to refer to all cryptocurrency for the ignorant masses. When anyone in mainstream media/ telivision /etc talks about crypto 99% they're only talking about bitcoin only.

nothing will replace it i think :D maybe another thing what's your thoughts?
