Why is CSGO dying

Personally, I'd argue that it's not dying. It seems like people are jumping to conclusions since PUBG has been such a massive success and many CS players (specifically streamers) have been playing a lot of that.

What's important to remember is that CStrike is the only truly competitive FPS out there. The only other FPS games played as E-sports are Overwatch and CoD and those are nowhere CLOSE to the size audience CS has. Prize pools are higher in CS (and still increasing).

The main issue with the game itself is just that Valve's updates, however frequent they may be, disappoint people because of their lack of significant content. It seems like every Tuesday update we get is just filler and bug fixes and ends up being 300MB anyway.

VAC completely sucks, Valves moved their main focus towards skins which makes it feel its like a F2P, its using the outdated old source engine, lots of reasons.

A lot of people have different viewpoints of CS:GO. The competitive scene definitely isn't dying but because of the lack of updates a lot of people think that Valve doesn't care about their game, but that's probably true. And then there are the casuals that play it for fun. They'll probably play every once in a while and be like "oh there's a new update? that's cool I'll try it out."

It's dying because poor anticheat. In my opinion this anticheat doesn't work anymore.

Cheaters destroing fair game and Gaben adds to many skins and making too strange updates...

cheaters. ive gave up on csgo because of russians cheaters. like they kill me from another server ffs

Guess the gameplay got boring and content creators are moving to other games.

I thought everyone already knows that it's impossible to play in it

Its dying because everyone has moved onto pubg, its so much more fun
