Why not mine Monero?

I haven't heard about monero that much isn't ita promising cryptocurrency? I know bitcoin gives you more but it's hard to mine bitcoin unless you got a powerful computer.

I have been mining xmr for about 1 month and seemed it is pretty good if you have good gpu, I have mined about $8 in a month so, better then nothing lol

I don't mine XMR since they're better alt coins to mine which yield more money.

Is it really worth the strain on the gpu and the electricity you used mining for a month though?
