Why use fastdl?

I don't know much about FastDL but i do know that WorkshopDL is reliable, i think you need websync or something for fastdl.

Players can download models and materials much faster. If you are an owner of the server, make sure to set FastDL.

Afaik FastDL is required to make your players download fonts. Fonts are blacklisted on the workshop.

Definitely increases the download speed for individuals joining for the first time. No one wants to sit for an hour to download server files. FastDL uses a web-based platform to send the files quicker to you. All of my servers ran it.

The first time , you will probably spend more 20min to connect to the server , but then , it will be really fast cuz everything will already be downloaded. Really usefull for playermodels etc.

You should use fastdl because instead of it downloading from steams slow ass servers it downloads straght from your server to the players so they load much faster

Fasdl has way faster download times than steam's servers from my experience

If we put the fastDL on a server the time to download and much longer and sometimes it makes the players run away but at least the players have no problem with the content. Without the FastDL it is faster certe, but the players will have problems with the content
