Welcome to web development in 2021 where you have countless frameworks from CSS, to Javascript, to PHP. The web is constantly adapting and growing, and with that there has come a lot of bloat. Nowadays it is more important than ever to be able to create clean, fast, responsive, and bloat free websites. That takes time though, so what if there was a better way? Let me introduce you to Elixir, a functional programming language built on the Erlang vm. Their official website describes it as "Elixir is a dynamic, functional language for building scalable and maintainable applications." it's concise, clean, and extremely performant using Elixir with the Phoenix framework you can build both the front and back end in the same language while creating responsive real-time applications for all your users.

Because it's a relatively new language, first appearing in 2011, many people have not yet heard of Elixir or are reluctant to use it.

it is a 10-year-old language. how is it a language for 2021?

Never heard of Elixer, looks like it's erlang based. That does not sound fun.
