So I was a total gym rat when I was younger coming out of high school. Having been on the football team and wrestling team it was just natural for me. But then after having a kid, getting married twice, and all the bs that happened in between, going to the gym just seemed impossible. It wasn't until COVID hit that I started hitting the weights again in my garage. A little more than two weeks into the shutdown, and I was back in it.

So the reason for going to the gym, at least this most recent time, was fully out of boredom and not wanting to come out of COVID all flabby and out of shape.

I used to be very skinny and got tired of that. Started a bulk and went consistently, now I'm way more confident in myself than before. TBH I don't really enjoy going to the gym but part of the reason I continue to go is that it builds discipline and that's something a lot of people lack. I guess you should find your own reason to go and build and grow from it.
