I'ts gonna be at least over 7 more years before gmod dies but as this game gets more mods I can see it stealing some gmod players.

I highly doubt it because GMod has built up such a great community. Unless S&box can imitate what GMod does but 10 times better, GMod remains.

I think this game is going to make a huge bad buzz.

Gmod will never fully die, there will always be players like cs. Though S&BOX seems exciting.

S&box is more of a standalone game rather than a sequel to Garry's Mod. Because if all players does move to S&box, what will they get during launch? It's not like there will be a Roleplay server pop up already in S&box server list, same goes for workshop addons. Without workshop, game is entirely useless. So it probably won't kill of Garry's Mod instantly, unless S&box has the stuff and content that Garry's Mod provided.

It will definitely kill off the smaller servers and the smaller gamemodes. I think larger servers like Superior Servers and Moat.gg will probably stay afloat if they don't switch over to S&box immediately, but Garry's Mod will definitely take a large hit. You won't see custom game modes/servers anymore. It will only be TTT, Prop Hunt, DarkRP, Deathrun, etc. and you'll only see a select few for each, not the plethora of servers you see now.
