Will Valorant destroy the overwatch playbase?

Like the title says. Will overwatch destroy the palyerbase? im just wondering because volrant is a massive hit

Games go through phases. Most of the newer games get hyped up cuz players want a new experience. Eventually, it'll start to die off. When fortnite was a big thing, so many game studios pumped out clones that stole some of fortnite's player base. However, everyone soon went back to fortnite when the hype died. The same will go for valorant imo.

nope. valorant is not like overwatch at all. maybe valorant will take from cs and siege. especially siege, that has a weaker community than cs

Overwatch is destroying its own playerbase. The game hasn't been remotely fun since dive died & the community Surrounding it is more toxic than tf2 + csgo combined.
Valorant is the first game in a long time that I've actually had fun playing. I'm not sure how long it'll last, since the maps are kinda stale & it seems like some heroes are completely busted. But I don't care AB comp in valorant. I just have fun.

yeah the maps in valorant are so bad, its the worst thing about the game. like a 5 year old found some graph paper

yeah, they're both different genres of shooters. I would compare over watch to say paladins but that game is dying too so OW is doing okayist in terms of all the hero shooters out there

valorant has nothing to do with overwatch
playstyles are completely different, the only thing they have in common is the ability usage

valorent is already falling behind ' it isn't new and feels like a rep version of counter strike and overwatch ,,, not for me

I believe Overwatch was already on a huge decline as it is. I think it would have died even without Valorant coming into popularity. Blizzard just doesn't put in enough work to keep it alive.
