I am planning to buy Kindle, can you tell me if it is worth buying or something? I know alot will say waste of money but I like reading books but I am not like Eugene the librarian.

Real talk - would you recommend amazon Kindle if so when, if not why not?

I am looking to buy Kindle Paperwhite 3

They're not bad but they're not good. You can get a decent android tablet for around the same price.

I usually buy audiobooks instead of buying kindle books.
Personally, I don't recommend buying on unless you really like to read and don't want to carry around a book or two.

Honestly: no. If you're not a huge fan of eBooks, it's not something you'll find worthy of the price. I have the Amazon Kindle app on both my iPad and iPhone, using it freely, it's just perfect. Just rip eBooks from online libraries and voila, you haven't spent a dime on reading. I often find myself even reading on my iPhone 6s, it's not annoying or anything, as it may seem on that small screen. You get used to it very easily.

I think eReaders are overrated af. You could easily get a regulartablet with the same dimensions for a similar reading experience. You could read on there AND do other stuff like gaming, browsing.

So, to the app: YES. I love the Kindleapp. To the Paperwhite: no. You implied you're not a diehard bookworm; Paperwhite wouldn't be worth it.

Anyway, if I didn't convince you, you could always just look up reviews on YouTube. That can give you a general idea of what the user experience is like.

I don't really think they're worth it at all... Overrated, just get a tablet

I reccomend it as a gift for older people, it's simple and I upgrade my grandma's every year for christmas,
BUT IT DOES break a lot, charger port gets loose (theyre old they dont know what they're doing) but I mean they work for simple tasks such as low graphic intensive games, notes, youtube, netflix and so on.

I wouldn't. I bought my gf one for Christmas a couple years ago and one day it just booted up to some weird boot image on there that froze it up. It wasn't being updated or anything, and you couldn't just download a new img to put on there. Basically anything that a Kindle can do - any tablet can do except the Kindle is limited. Just get a nice tablet instead. You can still get books and what-not on there.
