anything submachine gun won't let you down go for damage and speed

I would have to say the m4a1 is a rather all around decent weapon it just depends on one's play style.

M4 is always solid . I run the graux. Just have to minimize the recoil

Honestly the meta is either mp7 or m4 with the monolithic suppressor. I hate the scar and base oden. But yeah kit out the m4 and grind for them attachments.
