My first PC was one of those shitty inspiron machines from the mid 2000s. I think the specs went something like this:
~Pentium Core 2 Quad
~4gb ram
~400gb HDD
~and a radeon graphics card
Pretty beast for flash games

Oh god that thing was a piece of shit, I could've modified an original XP and had more use than the piece of garbage my parents had bought me. I still used it til the wheels fell off, but damn it was some prototype model of an all-in-one desktop before the big market boom of touch-screen laptops came into play. It had an intel-i3 processor with 3.3GHZ Quad-Core CPU Intel Graphics. 1TB and some horrible speed on it. 2-GB of RAM . Thing was literally an over-priced scrap pile for $500 back in the day.
I'm glad I changed my view on what the value of what a good SSD drive can do rather than some HDD with a excessive amount of space can do for me.
EDIT: It was 4 GB ram with enough space to hold 8GB at maximum potential.

I got my first PC when I entered university, a very very basic PC back in 2002. I can't even remember the specs but you can guess.

If my memory is correct though, the hard disk was 40 Gb, 256 Mb RAM, Pentium 2 or 3
