any tips in rust

i just got the game and only know the basics i have been playing for like hours tho and i seem to die pretty often

Build bases in a hexagon pattern, have plenty of doors and minimun 3 floors and you will be pretty difficult to raid. Always break barrels as they have essential components inside them for making guns ect.

Build bunker bases - a lot of videos in YouTube
Don't live near large monuments - you won't survive there.
Live near some road or near sea.
Don't be a**hole to your neighbours, they will probably raid you offline.
Don't build large bases, they have bigger change to get raided.

find a good server to practice on. Get good with fast farming and building

Don't build near roads, build semi-near monuments the closer you are the more heat. When farming nodes always have someone watch your back, Never play on Vanilla always modded servers they usually have admins online enforcing the rules and banning cheaters.

if you can, get a few people on who you can trust to help each other and you can get used to the game before soloing

Dont get greedy no for real, stay away from geared players if you are new, you will get massacred

get an on screen cursor for when you fight people. makes it so easy

Always have a triangle airlock with one of the doors blocking the other doorway when the door is open. This means that even when both the doors are open, they still can't get in.
