are minecraft realms worth it

The title says it all, I want to know if any of you thinks that minecraft realms are worth buying, if yes why? if no why?

They're a bit expensive but stable, however you get limited access to it's files. The upside to this being you don't have to manually configure anything.

no, lol minecraft realms are a waste of money. Just make a free server and use hamachi or something if you want to play with your friends.

I'd rather own a server than a realm. Much more freedom
