A lot of Sonic Youth, PJ Harvey's older albums, post-punk as CAN, Gang of Four, Siouxsie and the banshees, Suicide mixed with some house, techno and drum and bass. Should throw in Nico and Velvet Underground somewhere in there too.

Essential listening
Sonic Youth (with Lydia Lunch) - Death Valley '69: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y2Gf0MmRz9g
PJ Harvey - rid of me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8PlaNe3mXl8
Suicide - Ghost Rider: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dn7SBQ6X5HU
CAN - Vitamin C: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9a1NhRbNJ_Y

Quality house, techno and DNB
House 10/10: Larry Heard presents Mr. White - The Sun Can't Compare: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tdIQTEYXDP4

Techno mix 10/10: Helena Hauff - Borshch Magazine / December 30 / 6pm-7pm: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C44XpjGO38A

DNB 10/10: Origin Unknown - Valley of the Shadows: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a5meT63flnM

Same. I've also been listening to Nero. I'd have to say pop has been blowing up lately tho.

Who does know these days. With Apple Music and Co, what are we really listening to anyways. Isn't music just sounds in the background of our daily life?

Kind of, maybe? Sometimes it's def not just sound in the background but a central point of ones precense in space and time - at the dancefloor 8 in the morning in a club in Berlin, or when you are raging angry and pump some rough and raw stuff really loud at home so that you don't have to scream yourself.

But what the younger generations are listening to today, no idea if it's not within any of the genres i try to keep myself updated on. Which probably is not the case, what are they listening too? K-pop, trap, what ever weird new genres they've made up.
