I honestly didn't enjoy Death Note as much as the reviews made it out to be. It did start off pretty interesting but around the time L died and his disciples took over, the show lost a large chunk of its chilling suspense. Didn't even bother with the movie because I was way too certain of it flopping like every anime film adaptation I've seen (DB Evolution, The Last Airbender, etc.)

You're not the only one who thinks this. But to you and everyone else who complain about L's death and how the show went downhill afterwards: Thecatand mouse game between L andLightwas alreadyextendedto the maximum. The show would have gotten boring and repetitive. All they could do was ending itor introducing new characters.

I cried at how bad the acting and cgi in the movie was, and coming from a company like netflix they had the funds to such a better job. Feels bad man.

Most live action movies of anime are awful, but yes they could have done so much better but clearly they fucked that up and went cheap on it.
