Yes, there has to be some kind of noise. Lofi, instrumentals, piano - absolutely no voice. Sometimes that is too much so I also use nature things like ocean, rain, birds/forest.

depends on your mood and time your studying really , i personally listen to it when i have to write a lot of stuff but i wont listen to it when i have to learn something as music wont help me focus when i am reading and learning
