do you think esport will be in television in the far future?

i think it would be a very cool idea to have esport in television in my opinion

HOPEFULLY NOT BECAUSE ITS DEGRADING

Yah I think it will be tough to E sports being a big television property on the level of traditional sports.


Many popular esports are pretty unintelligible to the non player.

Ive never played Ice hockey but I don't mind watching a good NHL game,
Ive never played golf but I do enjoy watching Tiger woods at the masters.


League of Legends for example, I find it totally indecipherable.
same for other popular esports, like Overwatch.

I've played Counter Strike so I can understand it more, but I would imagine a non player would find it difficult to understand what is going on.
as a result I doubt esports will ever reach a a super big tv audience.

I don't know about you, but I already have e-sports games on TV transmitted on at least two channels. Mainly League of Legends (which I don't really like) and CS:GO. If there are currently no matches in progress, commentators discuss on various e-sports topics, or someone plays some games like Darkest Dungeons for example. I don't watch it very often, but I do when I really don't have anything else to do, and it's actually pretty entertaining to watch a match once in a while.

I think it definetly should be. Loo the market it already attracts!

Yeah OWL and Fortnite get on TV a bunch

Less popular esports like LoL are on speciality channels that handle things like competitive potato sack races and pizza throwing

Who cares about TV? Most young people watch there content via streaming anyway. Twitch / Prime / netflix ist the new tv. Traidtional TV will die with old people.

E-sports are actually rumoured to be held as an Olympic game during the France Olympic Games.

But yeah,with the pandemic, I highly doubt if such plans are going to be held on.

As time passed,more and more people are playing games and enjoy eSports. I personally think it will eventually make it to the big screen one way or another, since it's already a thing on computer joints.

Personaly, I hope the esport competition will be diffused in tv
