First off you have to see what you can afford. Then find affordable hosting and addons and figure out what game mode you want.

You have to find a host to run your server on. They typically cost around 20$-50$ a month based on how good it is.

You can port forward by looking at tutorials on youtube, but it's hosted on your internet. You can also by server hosting per month which is up all the time.
