have they changed for the good or bad

Oof, this is a hard question to answer.
There's a lot of ways to look at it: story, characters, graphics, and many more factors.
And of course, every person also has a different stance on each factor, which makes the critique even more convoluted.
But to give a general answer: I believe, yes, they have changed for the better.

When we can play game online streaming it will really awesome. this is the more futuristic word. we don't need any powerful machine to play powerful games

My opinion is that whatever changes - everything is for the better. The graphics are getting better, the stories are bigger, and the gameplay is more interesting. The games were different, but they didn't get any worse.

I personally think gaming today isn't as good as it was back in the day. There are some great titles out there, but too many games are just not fun and challenging. Take Doom Eternal, I enjoy it and played the hell out of it, but I still prefer classic doom and it's mods.

Graphics are better today, but games just don't challenge you like they used to. Just my two cents.

i feel like it's almost impossible to answer that, because you'll always think about the games you've played in regards to when you played them. like, when i was 11 i had loads of fun playing fucking brick force, which is a terrible game, but has a place in my heart, kinda?

To echo some of the other posts in this thread: that's a very big question. At the very least, video games have come a long way from their particularly humble beginnings. For better or for worse, they've entered the public consciousness as something very different from the nerd hobby from previous decades (as well as the stigma attached).

With the rise of smartphones, gaming is more accessible than it's ever been. Whether that's a good thing, considering the market for these games (which often are hyper-casual, stuffed to the brim with microtransactions), is a whole other question entirely.

On the one hand, they have become more like a movie, more dramatic and interesting, but on the other hand, as practice shows, if it turns out that one thing everyone starts to do a carbon copy all the same example as a battleroal and dota
