how to keep players on a darkrp server?

hello everyone, soon i'm going to open a darkrp server and i would like some tips from server owners who are on this forum, my question can help others too. the main question is how can I keep players' attention on the server? any fun addon or differentiated conduct from the staff? tell your experiences. thanks

some ways to keep players on is that it has to be enjoyable not just for you but for everyone

Make it enjoyable, unique, and definetley dont cluttered it with every gmodstore addon you can find.
Just because you have alot of addons, dosent mean the server will be good.

Try doing some events, improve the RP on your server, make more updates if you can, or just try place more cool things in your server soo the players gonna think you are updating the serv very often and they gonna be less bored about doing the same everyday

You gotta let the players decide and how to have fun.

That's the main point, to be pretty honest. Don't have the admins interfering ALWAYS, just let them have fun as well.

Be original.
Have a few interesting concepts that other servers don't have in the majority.
You should also do monthly updates, updating your server frequently is unneglectable, because if your players start to be bored they will go away.
