iron or gold?

it depends, example for armors it's better iron.. and very easy to get, has higher durability on swords, etc

Depends really. They both have their practical uses but it depends what stage of the game you are at. In multiplayer, I prefer gold by far. Although tool-wise it's literally useless. You can make golden apples, which is basically your lifeline in PvP

Iron is the better metal because gold is just so weak that you can't really do anything with it, and they removed gapples too so what's the point of having it lol

Gold armor, tools have better iron stats but break faster

Iron is way better, it has a bit better protection but way less durability. So for equipment always iron

iron is better.... better armor and tools... but golden apples are also nice
