As a rule, if you have to ask "is it cheating" then yup it is.

Yeah. If you have to keep something a secret, especially when it comes to the opposite sex (or same really). Its most likely cheating. Unless your partner has explicitly said they don't mind you doing that, its cheating.

The answer to this is obvious and you know it. People ask these questions when they try to justify their actions. It is wrong and yes, it is cheating.
