The cool thing about Minecraft is that it's just digital lego. Simplicity is the strength. While its fanbase might waver, I don't think it's ever going away.

It was less popular a while ago, as if it was "dying off" but it came back once again.

It will eventually but not any time soon, it's a classic that will be known for ever.

I dont think it will because the amount of things you can do are legitimately endless and youll always be able to find or make fun times

Has a long life ahead of it I'm sure, but they should start listening to their community more, since the community is the most important factor in growing out your game. I think Minecraft will remain a staple into gaming though, even if they stop updating it (which is impossible considering its popularity) server-owners will still find work arounds, and the endless mod support is the icing on the cake

As long as there are new additions to the game annually, Minecraft will survive.
