Hereditary is clearly the latest gem in the horror genre that I've seen along with Midsommar, both directed by the excellent director Ari Aster so I can only recommend them to you

watched a bad one on Netflix these days. I ended up forgetting the name. why does Netflix make movies in this genre so bad?

If you're downto watch a serie, watch Haunting of Hill House and Haunting of Bly Manor. A kind of different take on horror genre.
