raytracing, overrated or underrated?

Some people may not like Minecraft and may feel that raytracing is wasted on it but really, any utilization of this new technology is good for development.
The list of games that have adapted raytracing technologies is quite small but it's steadily growing. Triple A's like Battlefield and Metro were the first to use them last year and now we have developed it to the point where older games like Minecraft, Quake and Resident evil can utilize ray tracing and now a lot of upcoming games will be better optimized to run it smoothly.

I beileve that raytracing on minecraft is a good edition, it makes it look good and it will pave the way for more tech like it in the future.

Raytracing is a good innovation for gaming and we will see in others games, beautifull games. But for mc i don't like it, because it loses the essence of pixels and blocks

i dont have proper graphics card for raytrcing but my opinion based on viewed videos : awful!

I like the idea of this thing, but honestly there was already the shaders that more or less already does its job quite well

probably underrated we barely get to see the thing and when do it usually looks really cool. Sametime everyone just hypes it up.
