server question

Do you prefer opening Dedicate Server? Or do you prefer to open a listen server?

Dedicated, because then the host doesn't always have to be on for the server to be up.

Rather have a vps and not a dedicated server since a dedicated server would cost much more a money. However, if you have quite a large player base then I'd suggest a dedicated server if your gaining enough money from it.

If you have money dedicated. Also I'm lazy so clicking 4 buttons to start is always nice

Personally, I'd open a dedicated server. I agree with Gravity Cat. With a dedi, you don't have to worry about it going out randomly.

Just buy a game server from some server provider? they're usually pretty cheap.

Depends on the gamemode Id say, for stuff like DarkRP Id take a dedocated server.

I use a "Dedicated" server (As in, it runs on my PC, not I pay for one to be provided for me to use it) and I do everything on it, not much cost to it, just keep paying the bills and you should be fine, if I start getting more network I'll have to either upgrade the network or start buying one if I get donations rolling in like crazy. I think it would be ill-advised to use a listen server, which would require you to have your game open 24/7.

I host my server on my vps so i have complete control, etc..
