the bitcoin fee is annoying

Hi there
nowadays transferring BTC cost to many fee, for example, i transfer 60$ with 6$fee!!
that's about 10%, and let me tell you the funny part, it take more than 2 days to confirm.
do you guys have this issue?

sorry for being noob in cryptocurrency thing, but just recently i had to buy some bitcoin to make a small 5 dollar payment, i was like lets buy some bitcoin using cc, that was having huge commission to buy from cc, then when i made the payment i was amazed to see that i transfered 5 dollars and 5 dollars was cut for transaction fee. I was like who in the world uses bitcoin when the fee is so high.
Well mine took 1 day to confirm

Well if my knowledge is right, The fee is just because how old the coin is. Newer coins seem to have a lower fee.

This also may tie in with what the current block is too.

I remember when I thought 10 cents was too much for a small transaction like that. I shouldn't have gotten used to it.

Anyway, since the price skyrocketed and more people adopted the currency there are more transactions flowing in and therefore the fees are going up. I had to wait over ten days when I paid roughly 2$ in fees a while ago.

I remember the microtransaction discussions long ago, the verdict was that somebody has to establish a PayPal-like platform for Bitcoin so that small transactions could be sent without fees and then withdrawn from the service later. Coinbase should work for that. It's just sad as it kind of defeats the purpose of Bitcoin.

You could look into something like IOTA, it has some kind of an algorithm which eliminates the need for miners. For the time being they're somewhat centralized, though, so it's not a real solution.

I agree.. Coinbase rates aren't bad but when you trade the ups and downs it adds up over time

I agree and i also experienced the high fee charges of most Bitcoin programs.

yeah that's makes me angry too, there are no difference between miners and banks :rage2:

Its cause of the blockchain and changes due to the speed of BTC
