users with no upgrade should be able to +1/-1rep

so basic users cannot give rep.. to my knowledge, yet upgraded members can

prime +2/-2 rep
supreme +3/-3 rep
divine +4/-4 rep

I think users with over a certain amount of posts or been registered so long should be able to +1/-1 rep

I care about every NBB user, it's part of my job, but I noticed a gap and some users don't upgrade but do stick around

As far as I am aware, this was generally implemented into forums almost a decade ago to avoid people just misusing the system. It was a horrible idea then and its no better of an idea now, mainly because reputation serves no purpose what so ever. A better suggestion would be to work on a replacement system for the entire thing.

I agree and like the idea! Many users doing well without upgrade. Its okay for them to use rep feature if someone help them.

this would be a good idea but you have to figure out what minimum we would put on them exactly
allowing any regular user to join and give rep increases risk for abuse. imagine a multi of a previously banned account negging everyone for revenge.
this neg would stay regardless of whether they're banned or not.
i think a good minimum is 150~200 posts AND 10~20 rep, but at that point users are already upgraded or members don't bother putting in the effort for meeting that goal

Users who are part of a Group can give +1/-1 rep. Aoki probably made it so that users who just spam garbage don't get rewarded with the ability to repfuck people once they hit [number] of posts. This way only the members who actively engage with nbb (participate in groups) get rewarded to rep other members.

yeah this was exactly what i was talking about.
GROUP members have rep abilities because it's an indication of their willingness and effort to actually be part of a community since they take the time out to try and join a group

Well, with this in place theres no need to let nonupgraded members to be able to rep.

But not everyone can get in to groups or not interested in the groups niche so what about the users, seems almost biased to say non upgraded group members can rep but not non group members although I do realise the implications ofnon upgraded who "repfuck" people.

However I do think that there is a solution and it has possibly not been explored in detail before.
