I always used to read as "mind craft". It scared me of game... I thought it would control mind. But it is just mining & crafting!

Mine ( mine blocks and obtain blocks) craft ( craft tools equipment)

The mine part is because you can mine and craft is because you craft things in the game I assume

mine = break stuff and craft = make stuff ez..
