World of Warcraft would be the BEST rpg game ever no question.

In terms of role-playing (as the name of the genre implies) - many of the cult classic western rpgs: fallout 1,2, new vegas (what a joy, non-isometric game with actually impressive prg elements), pillars of eternity 1 (really underrated story-wise), arcanum, planescape, baldur's gates

I think the best RPG game for me is dofus, its a French game on pc
