Definitely plains as it isthe easiest to build in and super flat. Perfect for bases and farms alike.

in my opinion jungle hills is the best biome by far

Vanill wise, I have to say that the mesa biome is my favourite.

If you're talking about custom world generation, then anything that has mountains and trees look amazing.

Mine is a spruce forest because it is a nice and I like to build practically everything on it
