Most programmers use Linux which I'd also prefer over anything else.

I guess all the OSes have their own respective strength. You should be thinking of what OS will work / serve your software/application work well.

As for me, I use linux when coding / hosting web application that do not require microsoft technology e.g ASPX etc,

I use windows 10 for all of my random shit.
When it comes to programming and designing I usually stick with Linux.
Many Linux versions but I run ubuntu edit.

I agree with what some of the posters in this topic have said, it depends on what you're ultimately trying to accomplish and who/what you're targeting. Still, I'd probably lean towards any of the linux distributions.

For programming I prefer use linux (i prefer because i have a dualboot linux/windows to play games and on linux the r7 260x driver are very bad)

It's your preference which os you want to use. Many people uses Linux because it's fast and don't have shits like windows.
