It's like learning a new language. You need to be willing to learn something completely new to you with little to no experience since you're literally learning the basic building block of the language.

It can be tough or make become boring after a few classes. People do lose interest sometimes after investing some time and even money and move on.

You need to have the right mindset. Programming is not just "writing code", its problem solving through condition based logic. Some people don't have the patience to sit and learn it. All programming follows the same conditional logic, but the syntax varies between each language
