Best Version of Minecraft Server?

The newest ones are the most optimized.
If you want to pvp, 1.8 is the best Minecraft version for that (combat).

Honestly think 1.8.* is best since it's the last version before the combat update and it makes pvp so much more enjoyable. Also, there are so many more plugins for 1.8 than for 1.15 or any other version. Also play it with pvp clients such as badlion

1.7-1.12 is the best range for servers as in that point Mojang hadn't fucked up everything and made it about some random useless mob. "Hey look guys it's a giant bee, let's watch it as it's so interesting" is how I imagined 1.15 development went.

I remember original beta. I dont think they need to upgrade mine craft official. Modders do it for them

1.8 I don't like the way Microsoft updates Minecraft... In 2 years we got like 6 versions of mc?

My favorite versions are 1.7.10 and 1.8.9 since those are the best for PvP

I bet a bunch of you say that its 1.8.8 because of the HUGE lag of Update where Server-Administrators had to be creative and start learning Java and that is why i think the version 1.8.8 will always be the ONE server verion

Yeh i agree 1.8.9 and 1.7.10 are the best and most stable versions for a minecraft server and you can use viaversion to allow players to join with versions above 1.8/1.7 etc
