Is Soundcloud Dead?

Wait, seriously? I've been making stuff lately and was thinking of uploading but damn. That sucks. Anyone knows any good alternative?

It shouldve been one of the best streaming platforms by now it was running the music platform for awhile after the live mixtapes/DatPiff era but I feel Soundcloud didnt expand or grow after it was in its prime and now platforms like Spotify,Apple, Tidal, & Amazon (its coming soon) are the fore runners for artist indie and industry to post music & get paid for it. I dont even think SoundCloud need to pay ppl bc sooooooo many careers have been birthed because of SoundCloud but they couldve did more to expand their brand. Maybe they couldve been what Spotify and Apple Music is with paying people, maybe even made a deal with Apple or Samsung to have phone come installed with SoundCloud like YouTube, do interviews with big indie artists on yall charts, something to branch out.

It refuses to be more open to other platforms, it ireally has potential to take the place of spotify but its not trying hard enough honestly.

I use SoundCloud mainly for mashups, remixes and old demos and it's useful to get new fans or just some likes. My advice is to use it but mainly for stuff that you consider exclusive! That's what I do and then I promote other stuff

i feel like its def less popular than it was before. i havent heard or seen ppl using it at all tbh

Soundcloud has been off the radar for aaggeess... There hasn't been a new music pionneer in the digital realm as of lately.

I don't get how a music platform could be "dead" cause it has never lived in the firtst place.

I wouldn't call it dead but it sure have lost popularity in my opinion.
