Is Soundcloud Dead?

I guess Spotify would have to be taking it at the moment, right?

There was a phase I went through for ages where I religiously lived on Soundcloud (It held a lot of the music I liked, very specific genres...), but I guess I find myself spending a lot more time on Spotify.

It's definitely alive for the underground hip hop communities, but unless that's your gig, I'd say stick to major services

i mean, i wouldnt say it is; but since people arent using it as much as spotify

Soundcloud is dead but still popping if that makes sense. Pretty much passed its prime.

From time to time i see it being posted as *the* way to listen music, but honestly, i don't see it nearly as much as some years ago so.... Kinda?

they also killed their api for some reason, at least i think they did?

There is alot of music that would get copy righted on sound cloud. Some really good remixes.

Sometimes you can find good artists on SC, but ~95% of SC artists are cringy kids trying to make rap songs.

I think soundcloud is kinda dead. I only use it to hear shorter versions of famous music and pick them to edit
