Personality is a big part of it. Be upbeat and make sure that you are posting at least 2-3 videos a week. It will take a while to build a base though because YouTube is so over saturated.

Finding your niche doesn't mean swimming away your competition.
Its about finding a balance between what you love to do and what you can do and how good you do it.

Eg:
Lets say your niche is being a lifestyle vlogger like Casey Neystat, Oh the spot is already taken then why are there so many good vloggers.
Understand this and believe in it. There are 7 billion people on this planet and you just need 1 million followers to call yourself sucessfull.

how difficult is it anyway if you do it right.

I did the same mistake of disowning my mistakes and shutting projects on and off because of insecurities, fear of judgment and what not.
If I kept all that content I would have had a very strong thought leader footprint and I could have leveraged on that. But I disowned them which is a mistake now I feel.

After reaching a point of professional understanding of how personal branding and content marketing works.

what every you do how many twists and turns you takes. how many pivots you make.
be authentic, Be real and stay true to yourself. It should all work out.

Just Do iT and Keep Doing It.

Cheers

I have a 2k sub channel. It took me well over 2 years to get to that point and immeasurable hours editing and making and grinding.

BEing successful is not as easy as many portray it on YT. It looks way easier than it really is.

Also, you absolutely have to no matter what, post something good at least once a week. Two is better. Once a month, just won't fly and the algorithm will ignore you.

Above all else, just keep trying. Every failure is just a step towards success.

Don't do it if your only motivation is money after a while you wont have motivation to persist doing it. Do it because it is your passion that way even if you are not succesful at first you will keep doing it until you succeed.

ask yourself what you have to offer to the viewers. and how it is different to other channels. then aks yourself honestly if you watch it yourself. after that descicison its only consistency. upload daily at the same time between 8-19 minutes with ads all over. like every comment, reply to most. algorithm favors that

So hard to grow on youtube..
You need to create something unique... gameplay already has a lot of channels that do this.
