90% of Indian computer users cannot send email

They don't need to send emails since technology isn't that developed there, they have jobs that don't require using phones/computers. On the other hand, Indians are good programmers/hackers.

sounds like bs to me. I mean I have repaired enough computers to know everyone can compose and read an email just fine. Its the setting up part that eludes some older people with a lack of initiative to learn how to do new things.

This sounds a bit overwhelming! But why is all of this?

As most of the population lies between 40-80 y.o. this seems to be actually true. They don't need to know the stuff, the people rely on other (more basic) things to live. Also the poverty is a factor.

I think Language, and not modern skills, is the main barrier in today's world most problems.
