I'll let this thread open for a while. If someone still has ideas, post them. I'm open for new ideas since I love achievements myself. (Not here, but on games i.e.)

What's your stance on the different types of awards?

Like what do you think of the user owned awards idea?

And if you do like it what kind of limitations/price ranges would we be looking at.

Already answered the first question.

I haven't really thought about this yet, but it will probably be like this:
  • There will be a maximum amount of total awards. Currently thinking about 10 max. This may be raised in future. (Depends on the activity and member count)
  • The price will raise like we do it with usergroups. They won't be as pricey as usergroups tho.
  • Every award can only be granted to let's say 10 members, to prevent abuse. Maybe we will sell extra slots, but not sure about this.
  • Award owners will have access to a custom panel which we will make to manage everything.
That's everything I can think of currently.

Cool. I didn't see your other response, hence my question but I like the ideas for the system.

5k Posts would be really good award for people who are active.
Do not allow the eye to fool the mind.
