I have a built-in ad blocker for my browser, it's called Brave.

I use AdBlock and I use Pop up blocker for chrome, so whatever passes through Adblock (like some pop ups), the pop up blocker takes care of it.

Youve gotten plenty of good suggestions already, but Im going to add a +1 to uBlock Origin. Definitely the best one available, and its open source!

Use uBlock Origin. Doesn't get paid off to show ads anyways like some other blockers.

I use the following chrome extensions to block tracking and ads:

uBlock origin
Ghostery
Malwarebytes browser guard
privacy badger
trackmenot

Started to use DuckDuckgo as well because google kept serving me capatcha's so I guess it's doing it's work well!
