I think it really depends on how bad the depression is. I've suffered from it when I was younger and had to see a therapist because I started having suicidal thoughts. I was 16 at the time, I'm 31 now and I've done pretty well. Mostly, having a positive outlook on things made a huge difference and talking about my problems. Support groups are a big help also though I wouldn't recommend any support groups on sites like Facebook.

I can most definitely help , well I think so. Just know that this is my opinion and its not 100% true but its up to you.

First, lets define what depression is? Most of us think that is some kind of disorder but it is actually not. This is stuff is very simple to understand. Your depression starts when you lose your goal in life. That is all. If you didn't lose your goal and you still have depression... then this is not your goal.

When you have a goal , you are thriving to achieve it and there is no place not even a bit for depression. Another question is when it is hard for you to decide what your goal is... Well thats a different story and it is also simple to sort out. Let me try to explain.

To be able to decide what do you want your goal to be you need to find something that will make your emotions explode. To do so you need to explore, search , look around and try to find something that will grab your attention more then anything else. That is where you start your way. It can be something as simple as singing a favorite song in a car and getting into it so deep that next morning you wake up you say, " I want to sing! I want to sing!"/

Without goal there is no purpose in life, if there is no purpose in life , there is no inner power that will push you to do great things.

Another way to get rid of depression is , use something that is not common to you but at the end it will open a new door for you. Example. You are a regular guy, girl. Get yourself in a good physical shape, a condition where you are proud of yourself, proud of your work and proud of your determination. When you can feel the result of your effort. It is a simple example. When you get that feel, it will inspire you on to many other things, you will suddenly understand that you can, and you will find lots of new goals.

well thats it for now :D

The best way to deal with depression is to understand the issues other face in their life.

When you start realizing others have big issues in their life than you and they are still leaving happy, your depression will automatically get decreased.

Stop worrying about something.
if its going to happen in x way and not going to change, worrying about it will not give any outcomes.

Saying such things looks good but when implementing at initial stage it looks bad idea but over period of time when it becomes habit, it will send others in depression Smile trust me

I started taking citalopram about three years ago. I'm a totally different person now. I used to be shy and lonely but now I have quite a few friends, go out more, and do things I never thought I would have the courage to do. Sometimes there's just a chemical imbalance that needs to be fixed.

Go seek a therapist and clear your mind, tell the person everything thats bothering you... just clearing your mind helps a lot. There are also little things you can do to take your mind off of depresion, when the thoughts are coming through slam on some music, or when you start feeling sad play a game! go visit someone! loads of different things help mate! music is the top thing that helps. If you go on medicine sometimes it has some crazy side effects, just to let you know.
Glad to be back Ez

I think one of the best ways is just to try and cutt the things out of your life that are making you depressed, try and live your life to the fullest and do what you want to do. Therapy/Counseling can help, I think it's probably also good to see how other people handle their own depression especially if their cause is similar to your own.
(Also I'm sure weed would help :p)
