My go-to webserver usually NGINX unless my client need different one like Apache or OpenLiteSpeed

NGIX is harder to setup and uses less resources than Apache. If you're a beginner I would recommend you to pick Apache over NGIX.

Apache Plugin Nginx. At least I know so. It would be perfect if you also add Varnish to it

nginx - easy to use,
very fast web server,
easy setup as reverse proxy, static server e.t.c

i go for nginx cause i think its easier to setup the vhosts (maybe im just dump xD). its also a lot faster than apache (serving files)

nginx for sure due to performance, security wise make sure you just keep everything else tight. with PHP make sure you look into the Suhosin PHP extension.

Almot always used Apache. It's more simple but for some critic applications, i use nginx (i hate their config).
