Are Forums Dying?

Do you think forums are dying? It seems like I am seeing more blogs or social media like facebook taking over the forums world. I don't see a lot of sites offering forums but more talk on a facebook page, or instagram. Maybe it's just me seeing this.. who knows

It only seems like that cause of all the spam sometimes. Forums are not dying, people just spam because they do that "at least 15 posts" bullshit. Just stupid.

I think Forums will make a comeback. Google Plus bit the dust and Facebook is looking like it might topple in the not too distant future. There is still a place for forums.

Idk about Facebook. I haven't really been around the internet in last 5 years. I do know about that whole russia scandal but would that cause such a big and popular company to crash like that? I doubt it. I never even used Google Plus. Everything is chat based now from the looks of it, Discord, Messengers, etc. Who knows..

It's the loss of data, continued privacy breaches, they lost another 14 million user security details a couple of months back. Three senior CEOs and the founders from Rift and WhatsApp have cut ties with Facebook. Their user base has been on the decline for many years. Facebook will be the next MySpace.

Yes chat is the in thing again with Discord. But its not very structured or easy to communicate with a massive user base. Perhaps we will see a hybrid of chat and micro blogging?

Wow, I didn't know that about Facebook. I did know about the whole scandal they had with the security breach. But Rift and WhatsApp is news to me. Honestly, I never liked Facebook. So good ridden.
