I played at least 20 hours against bot, yet after 10 comp. wins I had reached the rank of Silver Master Elite.
Been working with MyBB since 2013. Been involved with several forum such as Crackingseal & Cracked.to

csgo is just practice intensive. you need to put in the hours to get better, just like in any other situation

Get a good friend/player to teach some tips and tricks. A lot of it is straight skill and train, but some tips can help you get better faster.

if you're bad at a game then dont cheat... that says alot about your character and shows you wont get far in life in general. you want something, work for it

Edit: coming from a global (even though every1 is global these days, im more supreme level with the old ranks)

I recommend to to you, as a veteran player (464hours):
-Play deathmatch and casual first. Until you have some practice. Then, competitive, but, take it easy. Its sometimes hard.

I have like 400 hours on cs:go too, but I don't call myself veteran.
but I kinda do agree with your deathmatch and casual point, even tho you won't gain as much experience from that, competitive isn't that hard even for a beginner.
