had c4d cracked and only used it for text. blender is free and it's way more user friendly for a beginner like me

i think start with blender as it's more intuitive than c4d, then pick up c4d later

If you have the money I would go for Cinema 4D as it has a better usability and more clear workflows.

I had some experience with c4d, but i think its very finnicky. Overall I think blender is a more intuitive software but is ultimately more restrictive than c4d.

cinema 4d costs too much but is the industry standard. Other than that it depends on which one you prefer the layout of.

blender is free so you can take your time learning and then if you like it and want something new you can move on to c4d

Blender is nice bc its free and a lot friendlier for beginners. the base program isnt as powerful as older programs like zbrush and maya, but there are a lot of nice plugins like Boxcutter that makes it a really good competitor. I've also found that Blender is a lot better with automatically resolving issues with normals and UVs that other programs bug me a lot more with. Maya is also good, but I just like the Arnold renderer a lot.

For creating models? Z-Brush. For animating? Blender, hands down, 100%
