I've used both and I gotta say, Cinema 4D is pretty powerful but I'd suggest you learn blender. It's totally free, a lot of assets in plugins are free, and there are A LOT of tutorials.

I totally agree on blender.

This is an interesting thread, as I'm currently learning Blender as I've been using C4D. It's a whole lot easier to catch on to.

Cinema 4D is the better program, though I'm sure you have to pay for C4D whilst blender is a free application?

i think from a begginer point of view blender is much more accessible, just for the number of tutorials available on youtube

Cinema 4D is easier to learn and the Octane integration is lightyears ahead of Blender's Octane integration.

i prefer blender because is more easy to use but just my opinion

which rendering engine will you use for c4d in the first place? used c4d only for octane and redshift. but it's better if you use it as modeling or cycles techonology. c4d sounds a little rough. the blender is free and the rendering engine(cycles) is excellent. I'm sorry if I'm wrong

I started with Blender but plan to test Cinema 4D in the future.

This way I can see the difference between the two.
