Deathrun or DarkRP?

you should look at the last scriptfodder contest, the contest have a lot of free gamemodes !

I would say make a deathrun server I think its more fun then dark rp... yes I think deathrun is more fun

Yea I might end up doing that, only thing is I have alot more unique ideas for DarkRP but ill give deathrun a shot.

DarkRP is too much nowadays hence leading to barely getting any dedicated players since there's already a large amount of quality servers that has dedicated players & they don't want to join new servers mostly.

I'd say go for prop hunt or deathrun, it's a profitable gamemode idea.

I'd say it depends.
Bad DarkRP servers won't get anywhere.

It really just depends on your experience making servers.
Deathrun is obviously easier for beginners to make popular.
However DarkRP takes more work. You'll have to try hard to make your server unique enough to attract players.

Yeah, gmodstore addons is mostly out of the question if you want to make it unique because there's literally servers flooded with those addons.
You'd need to know a more advanced level of glua before you even consider the unique path.
However you can always hire developers on gmodstore.

Knowing a good bit of glua is a must imo.
gmodstore addons are okay if you know how to make them your own. In a way.
Hiring developers will likely end up in your server being unprofitable as you'll have spend a fuck ton of money hiring developers.

Yeah that's a must.

Hiring developers doesn't have to be a loss, if you just hire 1 guy and let's say he charges $5-$10 each addon & you have a good STARTUP economy for the server that you know that you will surpass by getting donations.
It's a risky move however.

However, if you expect donations and don't get them, you'll be in a bind.
I just doubt, unless the addon is stupid simple, that any developer would only charge $5-$10 each.
